2011 Election Results: In the Board of Governor's elections, Darrel R. Frost was elected to serve a three-year term on the Henry S. Fitch Award Committee, Richard P. Vari was elected to serve a three year term on the Robert H. Gibbs, Jr. Memorial Award Committee, and Henry L. Bart was elected to serve a three-year term on the Robert K. Johnson Award Committee. In the general election, all incumbent officers were re-elected. Christopher Beachy was elected to serve as Editor. Bryan L. Stuart was elected to serve as an associate editor for General Herpetology. Terry Grande was elected as an associate editor for Genetics, Development & Morphology. Robert E. Espinoza was elected to serve as the Book Review Editor for Herpetology. Brian I. Crother was elected to serve as the chair of the nominating committee. Emily Taylor, Anthony A. Echelle, and G. David Johnson were elected to serve on the nominating committee. The herpetological members of the Class of 2016 are Christopher C. Austin, Catherine R. Bevier, J. Sean Doody, Clifford L. Fontenot, and Carol Spencer. The ichthyologists in the Class of 2016 are: Larry G. Allen, Mollie F. Cashner, Carl J. Ferraris, Jr., Scott A. Schaefer, and Alexandra M. Snyder. The President-Elect for 2011 is William J. Matthews. Congratulations to all and thanks to all those who agreed to stand in nomination. The society could not run without your great sense of volunteerism.

Conservation Committee - Position Paper on Rattlesnake Roundups
The Conservation Committee's position paper on rattlesnake roundups was unanimously adopted by the ASIH Board of Governors during the 2006 Meeting in New Orleans and has been endorsed by the Society for the Study of Amphbians and Reptiles, the Herpetologists' League, the Gopher Tortoise Council, and the Florida Chapter of the Wildlife Society.
