Research Aide Positions in Aquatic Ecology
Description: The Ohio Cooperative Fish and Wildlife research Unit has one
6-month Research Aide position available from April through September.
Successful candidates will provide technical assistance to a masters study
exploring physical characteristics and their influences on fish assemblages
in Ohio River Embayments.
Responsibilities: Specific duties include assisting in laboratory analysis
of field collected samples. Enter data on computer and assist with data
analysis. Assist in surveying embayment habitats along the Ohio River.
Collecting fish samples with a variety of sampling gear.
Qualifications: Candidates must have college coursework in biology or
related science, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Experience with field techniques and data analysis is highly desired, but
not essential.
Salary: $1080/ month. While in the field the Embayment project will
provide lodging and per diem.
