Faculty/Curator Position in Ichthyology


The Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego, invites applications
for an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (tenure-track or tenured) in ichthyology. The
successful candidate should have an established record or demonstrated potential in original
research, preferably in the areas of systematics and evolutionary biology of marine fishes. In
addition, he/she would teach a graduate-level course in Biology of Fishes, assume curatorship of
the Scripps fish collection, and direct and support graduate students. Rank and salary will be
commensurate with qualification and experience based on the UC pay scale. A Ph.D. or
equivalent degree is required.
