2002 Meeting Announcement

The final version of the schedule for the 2002 metting is now available. The schedule is final and no additional changes will be made.

The final version of the abstracts are also available. The schedule and abstracts have gone to the printer and it is no longer possible to make changes to the abstracts or the schedule. We did our best to take care of all schedule requests before we finalized the schedule. At this point, we will only deal with cancellations.

The 2002 joint meeting of herpetologists and ichthyologists includes 52 paper sessions (contributed papers and three symposia: ASIH: Exotic Species Symposium, Herpetologists' League Jaeger Symposium, and the Herpetologists' League Phytotelmata Symposium) and three poster sessions. We tried to avoid overlap with paper and poster sessions. The schedule is very full.

There are several schedules for the meeting. To see the schedule, click on the link (to a PDF file). The abstracts are sorted alphabetically and the speaker is indicated by an asterisk. The last line includes the abstract number, the date, the room, and the session name (in parentheses).

If you need to cancel your presentation please contact Maureen A. Donnelly (asih@fiu.edu) by 1 June 2002. Brooks M. Burr charged the Meeting Planning Committee and Meeting Management Committee with developing a procedure to deal with canceled presentations and we have decided that failure to notify disrupts the flow of the meeting and the one-year suspension seems reasonable. We recognize that emergencies occur and we will deal with those on a case-by-case basis.

Failure to cancel your talk by 1 June 2002 will result in a suspension of presentation privileges for one year (the 2003 meeting). We want to see everyone in Manaus so please let us know if you must cancel.
