1996 Meeting, New Orleans, Lousiana, June 13-19

• The following announcement was received from the chair of the local committee on May 9, 1996 - I need to remind the members that a) the Hotel Intercontinental is full; b) that we have a lot of rooms at the Le Pavillon, which is a 4 minute walk from the Intercontinental, and a few rooms at the Hampton Inn, which is 1.5 blocks from the Intercontinental; and c) we lose these two blocks of rooms after May 13. Which means we lose the special rates and have to compete with regular tourists for rooms. The phone number at the Hampton Inn is 504-529-9990; the Le Pavillon 's is 800-535-9095.
